Simon Clough
Simon draws inspiration from 30 years of social change work
and Buddhist practice. He is a professional mediator and teaches at Southern
Cross University and is a pioneer of successful intentional communities
on the North Coast.

Bobbi Allan
Bobbi is a Buddhist teacher in the Insight tradition with over
30 years experience in Buddhist practice, social action and extensive
experience in training and development. She is a founding member of the
Heart Politics Conferences and the Social Change Training & Resource
Centre.

Emma Pittaway
Emma
Pittaway lives in Katoomba, where she attempts to balance her work on climate change with her Buddhist practice and an
eco-friendly lifestyle. Together with Claire Dunn, she has been running
Joanna Macy-inspired 'EarthWorks' workshops around the Sydney area for
the past 2 years. She has spent several years living on community-run
organic farms, and has a passion for organic gardening and community
building. She is particuarly interested in the intersection between
Buddhism and social change.

Claire Dunn
Claire
Dunn is an environmental activist, most recently working as a
campaigner for The Wilderness Society. Claire has coordinated
successful forest campaigns, and worked on a variety of projects from
uranium mining to the marine environment. Claire brings a commitment to
'compassionate action' to her social change work. She has trained with
Buddhist scholar and deep ecologist Joanna Macy and co-faciliatates
Earthworks - residential retreats drawing inspiration from Joanna's
work in reconnecting and inspiring people to action on behalf of the
Earth.

Glenda Lindsay
Glenda
is a community foodgrowing advocate, gardener and singer focussed on
co-creating urban sustainability and inspired by the work and wisdom of
Joanna Macy.

Bobbi and Simon, Emma, Claire and Glenda have trained with Joanna Macy.
Through her scholarship and four decades of activism, she has created
a ground-breaking theoretical framework for a new paradigm of personal
